The German Enterprise Centre Qingdao, GECQ for short, was set up as an office building for international SMEs in the Sino-German Ecopark in 2016. “We initially started out with two tenant companies. As of today, we have 27 companies from various industries and countries as tenants here“, smiles general manager Kerstin Kaehler.
It was this success story that prompted the GECQ’s mother company, the German Centre Shanghai, in November 2020 to continue its cooperation with the Sino-German Ecopark. Both partners are optimistic about the next five years, as even with a rising trend of working remotely from home, the actual office as a place of face to face meetings with colleagues and customers to advance common projects remains important.
